Brake fluid ages by absorbing moisture either by diffusion through the brake cuffs or corroded brake lines. When applying brakes frequently, the fluid is subject to pressure that heats up to extreme temperatures, whereby vapour locks can form which will impair the power transfer from the pedal to the brake cylinder.
The brake fluid must undergo periodic tests to calculate the boiling point and evaluate the water content. The condition and quality of the brake fluid is certified with the accurate and eco-friendly brake fluid tester AQUA 12.
The device simulates conditions typical for vehicle brake systems under routine application.
Fluctuations in the fluid, as determined by other system testers by measuring electrical conductivity with a test strip, i.e., copper, are excluded by ROMESS. Precise measurement offers reliable results.
